The wax can be re-heated after cooling to room temperature (10 min) for better durability. Important to have a good iron to get an efficient melting of the wax.

It is important that the scraper is sharp at all times. This makes it easy and effective to work on the base surface. The less sharp the scraper is, the more pressure is required.
