About Us

Vernon's Favourite Local Bike Shop

We believe getting people on bikes and into the outdoors can improve lives and make the world a better place. We carry products we love, share our expertise and deliver amazing hospitality so we can ignite and nurture passion for cycling.

For more than 80 years, Sun Country Cycle has been helping people like you get on your bike and into the outdoors. Our origin story is longer and more winding than your favourite epic trail, but we’ve spent generations doing what we do because, in some small way, we believe that cycling improves lives and makes the world a better place.

At Coldstream and Vernon’s local bike shop, we believe there’s no such thing as the best bike. We’d much rather help you find your favourite bike. It could be that high-end ride made for shredding trails at Kal Park, but it could just as easily be a comfortable e-bike perfect for sun-soaked pedals along the Okanagan Rail Trail or even your kid’s first run bike.

When we moved to our new shop in 2023, we dreamed of creating something bigger than Sun Country Cycle. It’s why we adopted a logo inspired by the Ponderosa pinecone found on our local trails. For us, it’s a symbol of our commitment to sharing our knowledge and expertise, our responsible and sustainable growth and our connection to the natural beauty that surrounds us.

At our new headquarters at the north end of the Okanagan Rail Trail, we carry great bikes from brands that we trust. With some snow and Nordic skiing equipment, high-quality cycling apparel, plenty of parts and a vast selection of bikes in stock including everything from affordable cruisers to professional-grade road and mountain bikes, we’re now even better equipped to help you find the perfect fit.

Whatever your favourite bike looks like, our friendly and welcoming team is here to help ignite and nurture your passion for cycling. That’s what we’ve been doing since our shop’s roots were planted in the ‘40s. It’s what we did when we raised the Sun Country Cycle banner in ‘84, and it’s what we’ll continue to do for generations to come at our new shop on the traditional, unceded territory of the Sylix People of the Okanagan Nation in the heart of North Okanagan cycling country.

Let’s ride!

If you’re looking to talk bikes, fix a flat tire, in need of trusted bike servicing or even just looking to fill up your water bottle before hitting the trails, stop in and say hi. You’re always among friends at Sun Country Cycle.
